CNC Punching

CNC Punching

Depending on the application, CNC punching can be the most economical method of manufacture. We recommend this metal fabrication option when parts require formed features such as louvres, knock-outs, dimples, logos & countersunk holes. These can all be processed on the punching machine, removing the need for any secondary operations.

We specialise in small to medium batch runs in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. We can process sheet sizes up to 3m x 1.25m in gauges from 0.9mm to 3mm thick.

The team at Salesmade Fabrications have been programming and running CNC punching machines since the early 1990s, gaining a wealth of experience and having a large catalogue of tooling to call on.

Advantages of CNC Punching

  • Parts can be formed, countersunk and louvred as part of the process
  • The metal isn’t subjected to distortion from heat
  • Virtually any material can be cut
  • Large groups of holes can be pierced quickly
  • Part numbering is sufficiently deep to be visible after painting
  • Optimum for material between 0.9mm to 3.0mm thick
